Mike has a heart for missions. He developed an awareness for missions involvement through his church’s emphasis for world evangelism, but Mike struggles to find his place in missions work. He doesn’t know what he should do to get involved in reaching the world for Christ. Some of his friends talk about sensing God’s call to serve as full-time missionaries, but Mike doesn’t. So Mike asks himself, “If I don’t feel compelled to be a career missionary, then how can I put to work my heart for missions?” Christians everywhere probably can identify with Mike. They too want to be involved in missions, but they don’t know how. They need someone to show them ways to find their places in missionary work.
The three passages in this week's session focus on how today’s Christians can get involved in world missions. As you study these texts, you’ll learn how you personally can be involved in world missions and find encouragement to plan ways to do so.
