SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON - NOV 16TH

Romans 13:1-14

My past attitude and actions do not necessarily differ that much from other people, regardless of their ages. Many adults want to live by their own rules, especially since they may disregard, change, or reject them whenever they want. But those who receive Christ surrender their rights to live by their own rules. They seek to avoid guidelines they can’t manipulate to their advantage.

Our lesson this week confronts this “do it my way or no way” attitude. It will impress on people of biblical faith to steadfastly adhere to God-given duties regarding government, relationships, and godliness until the Lord returns. We will be challenged to practice the gospel by honoring and submitting to governing authorities, loving neighbors, and avoiding immorality by “putting on Christ.”

God places demands on believers and expects them to be carried out.
